Life Update!

So life has been crazy since coming to CGA!

I’ve been learning so much in class.

To give you an idea of what class has been like I’ll tell you the topics that we’ve been discussing in class…

– Risk and Failure

Why are we so afraid of failure?

Is taking risks a good thing?

– The Father heart of God

We explored the ways in which God is a father to us, and how our relationship with          our earthly father has effected our relationship with our heavenly father.

– The Mother heart of God

We explored how God is a mother to us as well. I know, some of y’all are probably          thinking, “What on earth, that sounds blasphemous!” But just hang on with me. It          was so beautiful to see that side of God, cause I had never thought about                        God as a mother to me before. We also looked up scripture to back up the mother            heart of God which was really sweet!

– Jesus as a friend/brother

***In these three weeks of talking about the heart of God we dove deep into Genesis and parts of the Old Testament. I wish I could tell you about everything I learned cause it was so mind-blowing!

– Emotional Health (that was a rough week!!!)

We talked so much about our emotions and why certain things make us feel the way       that they do, and how we “emote”. We did some emotional mapping where we wrote       out all the things/people/events that have hurt us, and we made connections of why       those things hurt us and how it has effected us.

– Physical Health (still currently going through this topic)

– Spiritual Health (going to be entering this topic soon)

These are just a few of the things we have discussed and hopefully in some of my later blogs I will dive a bit deeper into some of these topics so that you can have a better understanding of what I’ve been learning about.

I’m also very excited for two topics that I will be blogging about in more detail soon! The first is the fact that we are not orphans and why we are living like we don’t have a dad. The second is the realization that the kingdom of heaven is “at hand”, meaning within reach.

Stay tuned for these upcoming blogs!

Also…

I got a new job, and so far I am loving it!!! I’m very excited to see what the Lord is going to do in me and through me with my time there!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey. I couldn’t have made it without each of you!
